The Trail Pledge
Make India every trekker's dream destination: Himalayan trails that are clean, safe, honestly understood, and loved by the people who walk them.
trekker has taken it
.I carry down everything I carry up — and one more piece of trash I find on the way.
.I skip single-use plastic on the trail: refillable bottle, no wrappers left behind, ever.
.I stay on the trail and camp only where it's allowed — never on fragile meadows and bugyals.
.I keep the mountains quiet: no loud music, no fires outside safe, permitted spots.
.I respect local people, shrines and customs, and I hire and buy local whenever I can.
.I don't feed or chase wildlife, and I leave flowers and plants where they grow.
.I follow permits, rules and weather warnings, share honest trail conditions, and turn back when the mountain says so.
